So What's Next... THE COY CUP!
The Steelheads will now head to the 2012 Senior Male AA ‘Coy Cup’ Provincials hosted in Kitimat, BC at the Tamitik Arena from March 13-17, 2012. Along with the Steelies, the prestigious five-day championship will also consist of the Williams Lake Stampeders, the Quesnel Kangaroos and the hosting Kitimat Ice Demons to make up the four teams from the CIHL leaque that qualified.

STEELHEADS ONTO ROUND 3
The Steelies swept Terrace on saturday night to score 8-0 over the River Kings with a close to capacity crowd on hand. Our next opponent will be the Williams Lake Stampeders which will see us travel to Williams Lake for Game 1 on February 25th and back home for Game 2 on March 3rd (Game 3 on March 4th if necessary).

 

STEELHEADS REMAIN UNDEFEATED...
Steelheads were in Terrace to take the Game 1 win of the second round of playoffs over the River Kings 8-1 in a strong performance by the team as a whole. Game 2 will be this weekend on home ice, FEB 18th at 7:30pm. A third game will be played on Sunday only if needed to break a tie (1:30pm).

 

STEELHEADS ADVANCE
Steelheads advance to the 2nd Round of Playoffs! The team swept the first round with a 8-1 and 10-2 wins over the Prince Rupert Rampage.
STEELHEADS WILL BE IN TERRACE THIS WEEKEND (FEB 11) TO FACE THE RIVER KINGS IN THE FIRST GAME OF THE SECOND ROUND.
NEXT HOME GAME IS FEB 18th at 7:30pm

STEELHEADS FINISH THE SEASON UNDEFEATED... NOW ONTO THE PLAYOFFS!
The No. 1 Smithers Steelheads will face off against the No. 8 seed, the Prince Rupert Rampage (7-10-1), for the first round of playoffs.
Game 1 will be held in Prince Rupert - January 28th
Game 2 will be held at home - February 4th
(Game 3 will be on home ice if needed to break a tie Sunday Feb 5th)

 

STEELHEADS END SEASON UNDEFEATED
Jan 14th
Steelheads won their last game 10-1 against the Hazelton Wolverines to end the regular season undefeated 18-0.

 

STEELHEADS OVER LUCKIES IN DOUBLE HEADER
Dec 30th and 31st - the Steelheads faced the Luckies one game in houston and one in Smithers. Smithers once again beat the Luckies (5-2 and 7-2) to remain undefeated this season.

 

STEELHEADS 10-0 IN REGULAR SEASON

Steelheads defeated the Prince Rupert Rampage 8-1 on Sat Nov 19 and then the Kitimat Ice Demons 3-1 on Sunday at 1:30 to remain undeafeated for the season.

 

STEELHEADS STILL UNDEFEATED

Steelheads still undefeated half way through the regular season. Steelheads defeated the Hazelton Wolverines on Nov 4th (6-1). Steelheads next home game will be a double header weekend. Saturday at 7:30, Steelheads face the Prince Rupert Rampage and then the Kitimat Ice Demons on Sunday at 1:30.

STEELHEADS WIN OVER LUCKIES

Steelheads defeated the Houston Luckies 7-3 on Saturday Oct 15th to keep there undefeated winning streak alive (photos of the game to come soon!). Steelheads have a weekend off and then hit the road to face Kitimat on Oct 29th and Prince Rupert on Oct 30th.

 

STEELHEADS WIN DOUBLE HEADER WEEKEND

On Saturday (Oct 8th) the Smithers Steelheads defeated the Williams Lake Stampeders 6-4. Then, they went on to defeat the Lac La Hache Tomahawks on Sunday (Oct 9th) in a 8-0 shutout.

REGULAR SEASON BEGINS

Smithers defeated the Terrace River Kings to win the first game of the season On Saturday Oct 1/11. Final score was 4-3.
